I have been volunteering in a residential care hospice for over 16 years. The work centres my life, reminding me of the things that really matter in life. Being able to be of service to people who are dying and to their families provides enormous meaning for me. What I sometimes miss is the opportunity to talk with other hospice volunteers about our work – not the specific details or confidential matters, of course – but the challenges and joys, the lessons, and the survival strategies. Feel free to comment on my blog posts and please share this site with others who might be interested.

My latest book, “I don’t have time for this!” A Compassionate Guide to Caring for Your Parents and Yourself, is based on my experiences caring for my sister and my parents as they were dying, and on my hospice volunteering. The book is available on Amazon and Indigo, and (in person) from me. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0994007809/ref=cm_sw_su_dp

I think your work here is very important, so I’ve linked to you in our latest blog post about hospice care. It’s short, but that’s because I want my readers to come over to your site to learn more. I really appreciate your thought leadership, and I think you have invaluable information and opinions.

Would you be able to link to the post in turn? I know it’s a weird ask, but I’m on a mission to increase awareness about hospice care. Inbound links go a long way into doing that.
